With some help from Michael Bisbjerg, we’ve added Danish national identification numbers to the Fake Name Generator. Thanks Michael!

The Fake Name Generator now generates company names, too. These probably won’t match up with the occupation very often, but this is something we’ll work on improving in the future.
The Fake Name Generator is giving away eight $100 Google AdWords gift cards. These gift cards will give you more than enough credit to start a successful campaign for the holidays.
So how do you win? Simply leave a comment on this blog post telling us what you would use your gift card for if you won. Be sure to use your real email address when you post your comment or we won’t be able to contact you to let you know you’ve won.
A few rules to keep in mind:
We’ve added Norwegian names to the Fake Name Generator. Enjoy!
We’ve added QR codes to the Fake Name Generator. These QR codes can be scanned to add a fake identity to your contact book, or to just view the details for it.
We’ve added Hobbit names to the Fake Name Generator. We hope you enjoy the novelty name sets that we have been adding, and would love to hear suggestions on what to add next.
Enjoy!
We’ve added a Ninja nameset. This nameset is based on the popular ITT ninja name system.
Enjoy!
We’ve added a new feature that lets you save your fake names for later. When you save a name, all the information generated with it (such as address, height, and weight) will be saved with it.
To make it easier to get started, you can log in with your Google account. Logging in with your Google account doesn’t give us access to any of your information (not even your email address!), so your privacy is maintained.
This is a new feature that we are just getting started with. We plan on expanding on this in the near future, giving you the ability to see your generated bulk orders, activate temporary email addresses, and more, all from FakeNameGenerator.com.
Michal Altair Valasek has helped us add Czech names to the Fake Name Generator. We will also be adding Czech addresses in the near future.
Michal has also helped us fix a few bugs in the bulk order process. Microsoft SQL Server orders should now load properly when imported into a database, and we’ve corrected some invalid field lengths in all the SQL output formats.
If you happen to speak Czech, check out Michal’s ASP.NET page.
Bill Turner has put together a neat Ruby gem that allows you to easily use the Fake Name Generator API in your Ruby application. The code is free to use and available on GitHub.
Getting a Fake Name Generator API key is fast and free. You can perform 50 API calls per month at no cost, and it is only $0.001 (1/10 of a cent) per API call after that.
Want to perform even more API calls for free? Here are a few ways to earn free API credits:
